In 2020, I wrote one short book a month (10,000 to 20,000 words) and created $3335/mo in passive income and I want to show you how to get started on making money with self publishing.
Here are the 12 steps to get started:
- Find a high profit topic that is in high demand. I use publisher rocket to do my research.
- Do a mind dump and create a working outline using ChatGPT.
- Write your book in 3 hour hyper-focused blocks of time. Get your book done in 2-5 days.
- Have your book professionally edited and formatted.
- Design a winning cover (you must pay a designer to do this unless you have great design skills).
- Write a book description that sells your book. Select the right keywords and categories.
- Self publish on Amazon KDP
- Get 5 reviews
- Do a 2-day book launch to get on multiple bestsellers lists. (Use social media, your email list if you have one and hire book promoters like Robin Reads)
- Run Amazon Ads to keep your book a bestseller.
- Rinse and Repeat
- Celebrate!
